As we begin the new year, we would like to take a moment to sincerely thank Brian Boyd, having recently concluded his service as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Management Studies (2021–2025).
During his five years with JMS, Brian made outstanding contributions to the journal and its community. Beyond developing a wide range of manuscripts and supporting authors with care and rigor, he played a key leadership role in multiple special issues, contributed extensively through workshops and editor panels, and provided invaluable insight into refining our editorial processes, including desk rejections.
Brian is the Bilby Chair Professor at the W. A. Franke College of Business, Northern Arizona University, and a highly respected scholar in strategic leadership, corporate governance, and research methods. His work has appeared in leading journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Organizational Research Methods, and Journal of Management Studies, among many others. He has also been widely recognized for his editorial service across the field.
We are deeply grateful for Brian’s dedication, leadership, and collegiality. He has left a lasting mark on JMS and on the many scholars he has supported along the way.
