The Society for the Advancement of Management Studies
Established in 1963, the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS) plays a leading role in strengthening the field of management and organisation research by supporting the people behind it. As a charity, and owner of the Journal of Management Studies, SAMS invests in individuals, ideas, and initiatives that shape the future of the field.
Through our funding, mentoring, and developmental initiatives we help ideas grow and go further. We bring people together across borders, disciplines and career stages, ensuring the work we support makes a difference in organisations, policy, and society.
Mission Statement
We are committed to supporting researchers and advancing innovative, high-quality research in management and organisation studies. Our mission is to empower people at every career stage, promote collaboration, and build an inclusive global academic community that connects ideas with impact.
Vision
To be a global leader in developing the future of management research, supporting bold ideas, investing in people, and building a diverse, connected, and impactful academic community.
