Early Internationalization: A Meta-Analysis of Antecedents, Dimensions, and Performance

This comprehensive meta-analysis (426 samples from 378 studies) maps which individual-level and firm-level resources drive early internationalization (speed, scope, intensity) and how those dimensions relate to post-entry performance. The study highlights the value of multilevel resource bundles (e.g., R&D vs marketing) and shows that faster entry is not always better for performance.
