Bridging Knowledge Capability Gaps: Digital Technology Offsetting in Interfirm Knowledge Transfer

This paper examines how digital technology can help bridge knowledge capability gaps in interfirm knowledge transfer. The study shows that disseminative capacity and absorptive capacity are natural counterparts, and that digital technology can act as an offsetting capability to support relational performance when knowledge capability gaps exist.
