This essay examines the challenges of translating management research into practical impact, particularly for marginalized stakeholders in the Global South. Drawing on field experiences in India, the authors highlight how power dynamics, ethical concerns, and vested interests shape the reception of research. They advocate for co-creating research insights with stakeholders, balancing immediate and long-term impact, and addressing systemic inequalities – including the marginalization of local researchers – to ensure research translation is inclusive, ethical, and meaningful.
