Amy L. Kenworthy

Fiona Hurd is the former Associate Dean Academic for the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law and Associate Professor in the Department of International Business, Strategy & Entrepreneurship at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. Her research harnesses collaboration and interdisciplinarity to encourage debate, discussion, engagement, and social impact. She is interested in issues tied to cross-cultural and gendered experiences of leadership and career, organisational politics and change, and the complexities of navigating career and well-being. In late 2024, she was diagnosed with an inoperable terminal brain cancer and was given six months to live. She inspired this essay.
